Every human part matters a lot. We were uniquely created with these body parts for different functioning. But there’s something about the hands that not only serve us but others as well. Which is the general purpose of being created in the first place.

Our hands form one of the greatest assets we have. We can use our hands for pretty much anything; gardening, writing, surfing, you name it… Yet so many people don’t acknowledge its usefulness. If it were not for my hands, many of my accomplishments today, including writing this article, would not have existed. Apart from the blessings that come with being born with a hand, there are many advantages attached to them devoid of the basic ones we were taught as kids.

1.) Our hands serve us and others

Through our hands, we can be of immense service to both ourselves and others. Whether it be through running some errands, lifting heavy loads off of strangers, relieving people of their hard labor, or assisting them. These are minuscule ways our hands can help us be there for ourselves and others — also including, building, crafting, designing, and other similar dexterous purposes.

2.) Our hands help us most during the day

To be able to get stuff done, the majority of our daily tasks involve the use of our hands. Either by supporting our bodies as we rise from bed in the beginning, running errands during the day, fulfilling our job roles through the day, or finally resting at night. Our hands prove useful when we can use them to type, answer or make important calls or practically anything.

3.) Our hands enhance our productivity through errands

When it comes to errands, our hands come into play, whether it be driving us, aiding us clean, clearing, preparing (food) something, or concluding.

Our hands are always there to help us do what we somewhat rely on others for the most.

4.) Our hands help fulfill our goals

Ask any doctor, teacher, writer, chef, or fine artist what the greatest treasure in their bodies is, and they will not miss our mentioning the hands. That is because hands are most specifically useful to them in fulfilling their dreams and goals. Without their hands, their dreams are crippled automatically.

The creatives need their hands to bring their mind work to fruition. Nobody can do it without their hands.

5.) Our hands can save us

Our hands aid us in using life hacks with which to make living easier, at the same time, they can help us to adapt/survive. Many survival tactics require the specific use of our hands. In this case, the appreciation for our hands should double. Take, for instance, the hands can help the surfers beat the overwhelming wave and prevent drowning, our hands can help us call for attention, and our hands aid us to fend for ourselves when in deserted detrimental situations. All in all, we need to value our hands more, for those of us who have them.

6.) Our hands help us hide our weaknesses

This could be by covering our faces and making distracting gestures to hide our emotions. Whatever it is, our hands become our superpowers when we cannot seem to get out of an unmanageably painful emotive state. Our hands help us to hide those weaknesses we don’t like others to see in us.

No matter how wrinkled, worn out, and torn our hands look, they always serve us a great deal — and those signs are the proof. So, as a gestural appreciation for the hands, we must care for them every day. By protecting them at all costs and pampering them as and when due. This might appear unnecessary, but until we’re grateful for the hands we have, we could never truly read between the lines on how much we can’t do without them. So, today, get some moisturizing cream, apply them on your hands, take the time to wash, massage, and thank them for their great work towards the end of each day- in a conscious manner. Because they’re one of the most valuable parts of our bodies we often neglect.

Thanks for taking the time to read.
