Starting from the Point you are in your life, its Benefits to Living

I once wrote an article here about living versus surviving. It was one of the best pieces of advice I have myself through writing. It helps to highlight how we go through life; if we’re puffs like the smoke of the challenges of life or the architect of our choice of living.

I realize now, though, that we may choose very strongly to live, but circumstances force us harder to survive or to survive first. As such, it’s understandable why people with such background, find it hard to live forward.

We need to start living our lives from this point here on out. Not waiting for any signal or anyone, and certainly not going back to the past to course-correct what’s already gone.

The benefits of such a type of living or mindset are that it reduces both necessary and unnecessary stresses in our lives.

What are the necessary stresses?

These are the sorts we put ourselves through intentionally to remedy a once bad or uncomfortable situation. To be able to live forward, you need to sometimes accept how bad things are and have been and start on a clean slate like it never did.

A “staggering” example of necessary stress I used to put myself through was going back in time to update myself about things I “should” have known I didn’t know that led me into bad situations. I also did this for my journal entries — where the bad days catch up with me and disallow me from updating about them on said days.

My advice if you’re caught in this type of situation, is just to move on.

The unnecessary stress, on the other end, is when we worry about things we couldn’t have had any level of control over and still do. For example: worried about our type of parents or the background they came from. Which may have put us in a constant survival mode rather than living. Another piece of advice is to keep it moving. Things are bad, but now you have a choice to make. Stop self-sabotaging by making similar mistakes or following trends that landed your parents to become so.

Putting it all together:

No one is perfect. Nobody certainly has a pamphlet on how to navigate life. But others seem to have it going “well” for them than others and I can attribute that to the conscious decision to choose living over surviving as tempting as it may seem.

When you check out my previous article here (incase you missed it), you will discover what their differences are, as the nuances can overtake one’s perspectives.

Choose living over survival, and remember to start here, right now, from this point on, and forward. Really, no one is keeping these scores but you. Forget that unsaid past.

#Life, advice.

Thanks for taking the time to read.
