Just How Powerful Is the Mind?

The mind makes up part of our total well-being as a human. It’s an important piece of the human puzzle than when unprotected mars the other aspects of our lives.

Our minds are powerful like that and there’re various ways of determining that and it’s by ascertaining things we cannot do without the mind.

Without the mind, our mental state is non-existent and that means we’re not full-fledged as a human.

Without the mind, we cannot understand anything no matter how good our sight or other various parts of our bodies carry out their own functions.

Without the mind, we cannot think and to think is an essential part of us which helps us determine good from bad, what requires fight or flight and so on.

Without the mind, we cannot love, feel loved or make love.

Without the mind, we cannot make efficient decisions. Efficiency in decision making stems from a good thought process as aforementioned above.

Without the mind, we cannot exhibit self-care and other self-improvement techniques that may allow us to attain greater heights both personally and otherwise.

Without the mind, we cannot be fully healed of our diseases because psychology (which mostly deals with how the mind works) plays a key role in our healing process.

Without the mind, we’d always be stuck in a rut.

Without the mind, we cannot play or work.

Without the mind, we cannot strive.

Your mental state sets the tone for the other areas of your life to follow suit. Protect it with everything.

Tools to use to exercise the mind include generally having a positive outlook in life.

Having a positive outlook in life will always retract you from rumination that doesn’t serve you well. Having a positive outlook in life will let you let go of ugly pasts and rather than worry over the future, plan well for it. It’s all about finding a more efficient way of dealing with negative occurrences, controlling the variables and letting go of the uncontrollable standards.

To strengthen the mind, you need to learn to use it the right way through yoga, meditation and other forms of reflective exercises

What this means is that silence is not a bad omen. Sitting still or lying still from time to time alone to connect with yourself is needful. It helps you pinpoint what your mind needs to thrive better on and what it doesn’t need. And one of the most efficient ways of doing so is through yoga. Meditation encapsulates yoga which is a practice that allows you time to almost-subconsciously but intentionally mentally visualize your thoughts — both the good and bad without fighting back.

To exercise the mind, you need to pay attention to other areas of your life — more like a holistic approach

When you feed well, you think well. When you have lots of sugar, you’re erratic and unable to make good decisions(physical). When you exercise well, you release happy hormones that make you generally happy and think good thoughts (physical/emotional), when you have deep spiritual connection with God, it’s a whole different level of ecstasy and peace of mind that a supreme being got your back(spiritual) and when you spend necessarily lone times and meditate with the respective mantra that works for you, you’re mentally sound for what’s next.

These four aspects of life make up the core methods that will lead to our total well-being.

The mind is a powerful aspect of our mental state which is grave to our total well-being. The ability to exercise the mind sufficiently will increase our capacity to use it to our advantage but otherwise can lead us to uncontrollable down spiraling events that may cause our existence to be extradited.
