Christmas Celebration Isn’t Only About the Christmas Day

It’s “Christmas Days” before the Christmas Day

It’s 12 days before Christmas day, and the buzz about it has elevated several people’s moods, softened many hearts, and left them anticipating what’s to come. This is the joy of Christmas. It’s an undiluted feeling of joy and belongingness, festivity, that usually takes place days/weeks before the actual Christmas Day.

Some people (reasonably, atheist, for instance,) believes there’s no such thing as Christmas. Others may believe there’s no Christ at all even, and so his birth is non-existent. I grew up with a belief (and through many Bible teachings and ministrations), that Jesus was born. What I’m not so sure about though, is what day precisely.

Regardless of the mystery surrounding the birth of Christ, it’s still such a joyous moment to celebrate his birth Worldwide on the 25th of December each year (crazy right?). This feeling remains unbearable and undiluted.

This is the feeling I suppose has been in the air for the past few weeks, most notably, since the last week of November.

Be it as it may, I’ve come to learn over the years, about what people term The Christmas Celebration. And it doesn’t seem to rhyme with the actual Christmas Day. From my observation, people start talking about this precious holiday season in early November. Most people plan their holiday bae/vacation around September, just when the summer holdings are sizzling out. But the main hit comes once it’s the end of November/ early week into December. All tunes change, every face is brighter, and people tend to be in a joyous mode as they talk about the “anticipated” Christmas Day. Even television, radio, and social media advertise Christmas-related products and shows accompanied by their specific songs.

Once you start hearing all these bells jingles (pun intended), then you know Christmas Day is abreast. What I can also assure you is that people are also planning heavily on how “D-day” will go. The fashion, family photo, and most notably the festive meal. These plans bring a lot of joy by merely thinking about what they’re for.

This is what I think Christmas is all about.

Christmas is all about joy, giving, take-away, togetherness, relief, planning, relaxation, and total holiday “spirit” if I may add. This is what makes up the Christmas other than on the actual Christmas Day when you’re most likely filled up with joy and barely have the time nor energy left to eat “well”, visit friends and family, or other similar rituals. D-day is usually when people want to chill out, stay home, watch some Christmas movies, talk and laugh and call it a day. Another special attribute, except for this one, people like to do on the actual Christmas Day is to send Christmas-specific messages to their loved ones wishing them a merry one. This is all that day, 25th December entails.

So, while we’re in that jolly mood, decorating and planning, anticipating and invigorated by this special holiday season, I wish to let you know the Christmas season is already here, it’s already happening.

Your preparation is the flow state.

There’s no need to wait specially for just one day to be all that joyful and relieved. Christmas celebration isn’t Only About Christmas Day but before. Therefore, Christmas starts now, and December 25th is just the day to conclude it. Check it.

Thank you for taking the time to read. Not too early to wish you Compliments of The Season.
