Accept What You’re Not To Become What You Want

Often times when we finally sit down and reflect over things concerning us and our lives; be it our attitude to life, physical appearance/insecurities, health issues or other statuses only to realize certain things about them that need change, we tend to throw in the towel too quickly afterward.

This behavior would only continue to propagate these unwanted realizations about us.

This is where acceptance comes in.

Acceptance not only harnesses the aftermath of your reflective thoughts of what you do not want but it also helps to put a stop to it and implement ways to become what you want.

  1. Always create lone times or opportunities to think things through.
  2. Accept everything your mind is telling you at the said time.
  3. In a systematic fashion, start sifting the wanted from unwanted — based on what you perceive as right and wrong, positive and negative.
  4. In a strategic fashion, figure out what methods to implore to achieve better results.

In nutshell, use acceptance as a tool during reflection to critically understand and pinpoint the (unfavorable) situation you may find yourself in — to help you move towards the direction you need to be in.
